• no. It doesn't use your wifi network (you don't even need to connect the soundbar to your home wifi). The soundbar automatically found the subwoofer without any configuration.

• The sub-woofer connects to the sound bar via Bluetooth. No wifi required.

• If your planing to use the soundbar to surf the Internet, maybe; but if you only want to enhance the sound of your TV; NO, you don't even need Internet.
