• I have dish and tv and sound bar both work off the dish remote quite well if that helps

• Unfortunately no...however if you had a universal remote it would. But seeing as the sound is separate i don't believe the directv remote would work. I could be wrong tho

• Depends... How much can you program either remote? You may want to check if your TV supports ARC, or if you have a spare HDMI port on the TV, you can connect the optical cable and a HDMI cable to the soundbar and TV to possibly simulate ARC... YMMV.

• TV remote will not unless Samsung changed something in that model. I do not have Direct TV so cannot speak for their remotes. My Harmony remote does run both my Samsung TV and Soundbar.
