• It will work if you use an optical cable via the Digital Audio Output on your tv.

• It should as long as the TV has either a fiber optic or HDMI output jack. I think it connects with RCA cables as well, which older TVs use.

• We have a 6 month old 55" Sharp Smart TV and works great, except have not figured out how to configure to get sound from Netflix through the sound bar. I just posted a review on BB that will go live shorty. It is an amazing little bar with excellent sound and Bluetooth connectivity to your smart phone or device, so it does double duty.
