Not sure what you mean by sound delay. It sounds like your soundbar may be out of sync. I've experienced that a couple of times. You can either adjust the sync through the remote or turn it off and then on to see if the audio catches up to the video or vice versa. There shouldn't be a delay between the audio from your TV and the soundbar if everything is in sync.

What you are simulating by using left right, center, and subwoofer. This surrounded effect is center-left,right, subwoofer. To get surrounding effect you need also rear left,right. They call it 5 & 1 or (seven and two. 7 speakers & subwoofer ) - 5&1 is L/R front, center, rear L/R, subwoofer They do have the surround sound with the true surround sound effects. The other equalizing is done with a receiver, or tv with it you get movies, sport and other effects. So to get"surround sound you would need a different sound at with more speakers.
