Hi Ebarrow, the speakers are at the bottom, and the sound quality is good. Though we should keep in mind as TV's get thinner, so do the speakers. As speakers get thinner, they don't have as much physical size to move the air or create the vibration we hear as sound. If you are concerned about sound quality, I would suggest a 3.1 channel soundbar with subwoofer. Our HW-T650 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-3-1-channel-340w-soundbar-with-6-5-wireless-subwoofer-black/6400685.p?skuId=6400685&ref=212&loc=1&ref=212&loc=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAtej9BRAvEiwA0UAWXgKfE7mnSCjlEiD1pIloeQoV0ulSMWR9XkBbFwJtc-QprEvSKGrjLBoC-goQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds should increase your home theater experience significantly. Cheers! ^Scott
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We didn’t like the sound so we added a sound bar. It sounded tinny. It’s good now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are very good. I intended to buy a sound bar but don't need it. It's not theater surround sound quality but more than enough for normal tv/movie watching
