No it will not charge your laptop my best suggestion is to run a separate power source to the laptop

Please try again later.U dont ever want to try to use a monitor as a pass through power source it will always result in damage if not bricking the monitor it has dp and hdmi use one of those instead if that isnt a option AND your laptop does NOT have 2 thunderbolt ports then you will need to go with a dock solution to solve that problem.
