“My concern is the high efficiency use of water -for example, that my clothes won't be in alot of water. My old old washer let me manually select water level. Does everyone seem to like the automatic water adjustment ? Can I add more if I need or want it”

Auto is great. But if you want more water, use Deep Wash setting
