“On this product would it be ok to mount the surrounds high on the wall with 5 inches headroom. I have items on my wall that are not getting moved. I have speaker brackets already mounted. The speaker would have 5 inches above the speaker.”

Not sure what kind of sound you would get from the top speakers that close to ceiling
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't mounted my rear speakers yet. But all the reviews I read said the setup you described would be ideal. Those speakers on top are made to bounce sounds off the ceiling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The optimal place is at ear level, but the biggest issue would be ensuring the path between the upfiring speaker and ceiling is unobstructed. The atmos design aspect needs to be able to bounce sounds off the ceiling to function properly.
