“are there any firmware updates out or coming up that will support DTS HD and DTSX someone said an update came out in Oct but I can`t find any info on it would help this system a lot I turned off PCM in my UHD player and it made a huge difference.”

I recently bought this soundbar - k950 - and hoped for the same. I went on Samsungs chat line and was told from a tech that there were no firmware updates yet, and that chat was roughly a week ago just after thanksgiving. Research tells me that the soundbar has all of the interior workings to play the DTS, but it would require the new firmware. Apparently it was a cost issue, buying the rights from Dolby, so in order to keep the costs down - and hence sales price - Samsung has so far opted out of purchasing the rights for DTS in this soundbar - as I understand it.
