• The lock is only for the self cleaning mode. Not normal oven use.

• I've never used the safety lock so I haven't had an issue.

• Thanks for the question. The oven door on the NX58H5600SS doesn't lock during normal operation, unless either the control panel has been locked or the self cleaning program is activated. - Ms. Samsung
