No. In a word, it sucks. It does not get hot enough. You have to have your food right up to the flame and the area broiled is about 6" wide and 10" long. You can't broil two pieces of fish or a large steak. It is the most disappointing feature of this stove.

No. The broiler is terrible. It can barely cook a piece of fish. If this is an important feature for you, find another stove.
