• Yes it falls to the floor of the oven, which is a removable tray with 2 small screws for easy cleaning, or just run a self clean when it gets super dirty.

• Don't worry about it. The broiler is so crappy and cold your food will never get hot enought to sizzle and drip all over your oven. Keep your outdoor grill shoveled out and grill all winter, or buy another stove.
