• A:Answer good question because if you measure the outside depth - including the over door handle, it's more like 27 1/2". It looks like they measured (23.69") from the back of the unit to the front of the over compartment - not including the door.

• A:Answer Thanks for the question. The NX58F5500SS does not have drip trays under the grates, but it does have sealed burners to prevent food from making its way under the cook top. The user manual contains instructions for keeping the cook top and other surfaces clean, but most spills can be cleaned up with warm, soapy water and a sponge. It's important to wipe up spills soon after they occur (taking care to allow it to cool first to avoid burns) so they don't get cooked on, making them more difficult to clean. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionIs the back of the oven indented to accommodate the gas line hookup?

• A:Answer We use propane gas and there was a special hookup on the back for the propane hose. Installer had to remove the city gas hookup and replace it with the propane hookup as well as the igniters for the oven, broiler and all the burners.

Q: QuestionRegarding the stove top griddle: What is it made of?Is the stove top griddle made of cast iron? If not, what is it made of? Also, does it have a non-stick coating? I would rather it be cast iron as most cookware with a non-stick coating is typically made of aluminum- which I abhor! I plan to buy this range very soon- today or tomorrow. I am wondering if I need to find an alternative cast iron griddle if the one included with this range is aluminum. Thank you!

Q: QuestionWhat is the exact height?The description says 46 inches, but that seems impractical. Shouldn't it be 36 inches? Maybe it was a typo.

• A:Answer Hi Choosy, There's a vent underneath the right side of the control panel back splash where heat from the oven is vented. The vents in the NX58F5500SW door allow cooler air to circulate between the panes of glass in the door so it stays cool to the touch. Thanks for your question! Ms. Samsung

• A:Answer Hi Puzzled, The center oval (griddle) burner on the NX58F5500SS has a maximum BTU rating of 9500 and the flame height can be regulated by turning the burner control knob. The range of the height of the flame should be checked and adjusted by the gas installer to ensure appropriate size and color. For instructions on using the griddle to cook meats and other items, please refer to page 25 of the User Manual. Keep in mind that this is not a Power Burner, so if you'd like to sear steaks or other meats, cooking the outside more rapidly, you may want to consider using the 17K BTU right front Power Burner. Q: QuestionControl panel "Bake" buttonRecently purchased Samsung white 5 burner nx58f5500sw gas range. I press bake button, select desired oven temp and then start. The start button takes about 2-3 press attemps before it registers. Is this normal?

It's normal for the buttons on the control panel to require being pressed firmly in order to turn the oven on as a safety precaution, but if you find the buttons aren't responsive when pressed firmly I would suggest calling 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent for assistance determining whether service is advisable. - Ms. Samsung

Simply follow the instructions on the package. Another option is to apply a small amount of baby oil to the stainless finish using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. Q: QuestionDepth of Oven Door & HandleI've read that the depth is from the back to the front and does NOT include the oven door. Due to tight constraints with the range cut out being in a corner with cabinet door and drawer right next to it, I need something shallow in depth for the door and drawer to open. So, Can someone please tell me the dimension from the back including the door? Also, how far does the handle extend beyond that? Thank you!

• A:Answer The gas connection on the NX58F5500SS is located on the lower left side when facing the front of the Range. Samsung recommends the gas pipe stub and shut off valve be installed within a 17" (w) x 9" (h) area that extends 7" up the lower left wall behind the Range and within 2" of the wall if on the floor. The actual fitting on the back of the Range is located approximately 6" above the floor and 8" in from the left side of the Range.
