Hi sharonfrat, Thank you for reaching out and we hope you are in good health. We are glad to know that you have purchased a Samsung home appliance and we hope that it is up to your standards. There are 2 vents for this range an inlet vent located in the handle areas and an outlet vent located under the oven control panel. The inlet vent in the handle area will not heat up, but the outlet vent will. Please ensure that the outlet vent is unobstructed. I have shared the user manual link below. Please access the link and turn to page 31. https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202103/20210308174628624/NX58R4311SS_AA_DG68-01151A-03_EN.pdf Please feel free to communicate with us through the channels below if you have additional questions. 1. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, I just got this range last week and had the same question. The oven vents to the back of the range top. User manual says to not block the front vents as they are to ensure proper air circulation and good cooking results. So, I do not hang any towels on the handle. Nice range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The handles do not get hot.
