Thanks for your interest. The slide-in style ranges are designed without a back splash to give them a built-in appearance. If you'd prefer to have a back splash, Samsung has a variety of freestanding models to choose from, including the NX58F5700WS. BUT I'm the person who ordered this stove from Best Buy 2 months ago and still does not have a working oven probe ... and my stove did NOT come with any such part. And I still do not have a working oven probe ... while Samsung follows its "procedures".
