The answer I was looking for was 8 mm bolts to thread into the back of the TV. I was trying to re-use a wall mount. Thx
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. At 30 lbs, it's not a very heavy TV. I'd recommend 1/4" lag screws, 2-1/2" long, which have a six-sided hex head on one end and a pointed thread on the other. You must first locate the studs in your wall, either with a stud finder device or by tapping and listening for the heavy thud (versus hollow sound) of a stud behind the wall. Drill a 3/16" pilot hole for each of four lag bolts to attach the wall plate. Insert screws thru the plate into your holes and tighten with an open-end or box wrench, or a regular "Crescent" wrench. Do NOT use hollow wall anchors (mollies, toggles, or plastic screw in's); they will not support a TV! The screws to attach the TV to the wall mount will be supplied with the mount, and they'll be metric screws. Most mounts include a variety of screws.
