The measurement between the legs is about 43 inches. I do not see any ability to move the legs closer together to allow them to be less than 36" wide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This TV does not have the single pedestal stand, it has two small legs near the left and right sides of the TV. The width to the outside of these two legs is 43 inches. You would want at least a 48 inch wide cabinet. These legs are the only thing I do not like about the TV although, based on my cabinet, I am not impacted. I think all TVs should have the center pedestal stand for just the reason you asked your question.
