• If you touch any modern TV screen a lot, horizontal or not, you'll probably damage it. For your idea you need an older TV with a solid glass screen. Another idea, get a large glass table and mount the TV underneath it so it's visible. If you do the latter, you should leave a good air space between the glass and the TV for ventilation. Note, that table will get warm. Odd idea, good luck!
