I am answering my own question after much trial ad error No, bi-amping makes no difference. This set has both Dolby and PCM optical audio output choices in the "advanced" part of the sound settings. When you are using a digital to coax audio converter (unless it is an expensive "universal" one) make sure the PCM mode is selected in the advanced sound settings. Most of the converters will handle only that and not Dolby. The default output of the set is Dolby (not true on earlier models) so you will get nothing through your speakers unless you make this change to PCM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
