“I want my smart remote to also control my TWC Cable box and my sound bar. Anyone know if this is possible and how to setup? I also bought a standard remote for this tv online thinking that would solve it but i can't figure out ext device setup on either!”

Your smart remote that came with the TV will not control anything else other than the TV, you could purchase this remote (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-replacement-remote-for-samsung-tvs/5577783.p?skuId=5577783) Insignia - Replacement Remote for Samsung TVs. Remote Model: NS-RMTSAM17. This remote can be programmed/will work as you are asking.
