This TV looks awesome with BlueRay and online Streaming. Standard 1080 broadcast looks good but not fabulous.

YES! I've watched the old original Karate Kid on cable and the picture was better than I ever remembered it being. Truly feels like it does good job enhancing lower quality video.

As there is a not a lot of 4K stuff out there right now, the bulk of what I have been watching, or playing, has been 1080P. With that said, it looks as good, and in most cases better, than it does on my older Sony Bravia. It looks fantastic.
