https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/d8811a5a7 The main difference is the motion rate. The 8000 is 240 while the other one is 120. The Vertical frequency is higher in the 8000 at 120HZ. The motion rate keeps the tv on subject during very fast movement. I must say, the TV is the most clearest I have ever seen. This thing is worth the $1100.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a native 120hz (Samsung 240) motion rate compared to the 6300 and 7000 series and older all have a 60hz (Samsung 120) NATIVE motion rate. This means less blur when watching sports or action movies - a must have for me. It represents how many picture frames are flashed before your eyes every second. All TV manufacturers throw out different terms in an effort to confuse customers but "native motion rate" is universal and to be looked for if handling blur is a concern for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The HDR capability is going to provide a much better picture in addition to the faster refresh rate, broadcasting a much richer color spectrum than your 6300 model. The deeper blacks will also be noticeable immediately, but where I really saw the difference is in the movie Doctor Strange on my Netflix service that streams in 2160. The picture is movie theatre quality on my MU8000, but not as much on the 6300.
