• Yes it does show volume on screen using the volume button. Remote also allows for the jumping ahead or backwards by using the round button above the Home button

• Yes you can see volume changes on the middle of the left side of the TV. As for fast forwarding, yes you can but it also depends on your content and which programming you have.
