Does the TV require external speaker system? null

Hi Illiniwek33! The Frame features a built in speaker system and does not require an external solution. If you would like to improve the audio quality you are able to connect external audio solutions via HDMI ARC or Digital Optical audio. ^Tim

Require one? No. I have this one set up in my bedroom and its able to be loud enough for me to hear it, even with my windows open. I watch Netflix, play games on it, and music and the setting its loud enough to only have it on volume 15, and i mean loud to where id have to turn it down sometimes.. Although at times I connect my phone and play audio and sometime I have to turn the volume up to like 25 or if its somehow not loud enough, up to 40, )but when this happens I think it may depend on the video or audio being played) If ur tryna put it in a big living room, I think its decent enough without one. As I did move mine to the livingroom to compare it against my 40" to see any difference. Definitely as loud and even louder, so i think ur good. But if u really wanna feel bass and all that jazz. Then I recommend getting an external sound bar or somethn
