Customers are saying

Customers regard the 55" Class The Frame Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV as a beautifully designed TV with great picture quality. They appreciate its easy setup and the ability to hang it flat on the wall. It’s great but flawed

Well...what can I say about this TV. It’s my second one so that’s a good thing, right? Just note that with some of the things they fixed from the 2019 version, they also cut corners with this 2020 version. Positives: More App options, Samsung TV Plus is improved and has tons of channels, improved network to support Wifi 6, Ambient Mode, great audio, improved color correction, improved art mode with improved matte option. Improved motion sensor (the 2019 version has a tendency to stop working). Negatives: ONLY 500 MB of space dedicated to add your own pictures!! (This is a terrible omission where the 2019 model allowed up to 4GB of internal storage for pictures. This forces you to subscribe to Samsung’s Art Gallery to view various artworks or you have to do the labor intensive task of swapping out photos every time it gets filled up. This space is independent from the internal space devoted to apps and the cache; absolutely terrible!) The volume auto adjust and ambient lighting adjustment is finicky at best. The OneConnect Box gets extremely hotter than the 2019’s. Overall, I love this TV. It looks great, sounds great, and display realistic art images better than the 2019. But it’s not perfect, and the fact that they reduced storage for your own artwork defeats the purpose of “framing” your own pictures. The pictures I have is with the white bezel that I bought separately. The TV ships with a dark metal frame finish which is also different from the 2019 version which is black.

Enjoying it but one major concern

Bought the 2020 Frame 55". Two things to note. 1) I had an issue with the no gap wall mount included in the box. Step 1 is to install the hanger to the back of the TV using four M4 X 14 screw included with the mount. They are TOO SHORT. The screws just drop in and spin and spin. I bought M4 x 16 screws from a big box hardware store and they worked perfectly. Only $1 but I should not have to buy my own parts for a premium TV. I'm over this one and have moved on. Contacted Samsung Support and all they wanted to do was send me videos on how to install, or recommend I hire a professional installer. 2) I read other reviews and I can confirm - this TV has way too little usable memory. I installed 4-6 apps and the available user memory was at 7%. I have not uploaded any of my personal pics to use as frame photos. After using the TV a little more, I was at 3% available memory. This is 2020 and this is a $1500 55" tv -- high range for this size, and I have 3% memory left? Not acceptable. I am very concerned with the potential impacts this will have for the long term. Many pre-installed apps I cannot delete like a ~50MB user manual, Disney+, etc. If the TV had an extra 1GB of memory, I would forgive and have no issues at all with the TV.

So far so good! I’ve got my had my Frame TV for a couple weeks. Had it installed by the Geek Squad guys who did an amazing job. The first couple days were frustrating because I had issues selecting art from Art Mode to put on the TV. Also, the first day, the sensor that picks up movement and turns the art on and off wasn’t working accurately (turning off even when I was moving right in front of it.) I’m not sure what caused these issues to suddenly resolve (which I suppose is slightly disconcerting,) but everything has been working perfectly for me since, and I am very happy with my TV. I love the art! It also gives you the option of uploading your own personal pictures which is fun. I’m including some of the art I’ve had up:)

Love the look and features on our 55" Frame TV with the beige bezel. I have had my eye on this TV for several months, but couldn't make a decision because there was always some bad reviews mixed in with the good. I'm glad we decided to buy it and it an upgrade from our 15 year old plasma TV! The wall installation took the most time and effort because the conduit that we already had run behind our tv wasn't large enough to accommodate the One Connect fiber optic cable. The connection on the end is very wide (1.5" wide) so my husband had to cut the drywall and rerun new conduit and then do all the drywall work associated with that. The One Connect box with the single fiber optic cable, is a great idea, but it is proprietary to this Samsung TV so down the road if we change the TV, we will probably have to run different cables. The picture quality is amazing and the TV is very responsive and smart. It is easy to switch between cable, netflix, and our Nintendo Switch. I love the artwork feature and have bought artwork on Etsy that is for the Frame TV and uploaded it to the tv through the Smart Things app. Super easy to do. Highly recommend this TV if you are looking to make your TV look beautiful!

I really like the Art function and have downloaded/uploaded some photos and 4K pictures to use via Smart Things app. It is fun to use and also looks beautiful above my mantel. There are only 20 included art pictures that come with the TV. I am trying to cut cable costs and don't want to add $4.99 per month for the Art Gallery although it would be nice. Today when two family members were using their computers and streaming in different rooms, the Samsung TV was not able to maintain a good wireless connection. Although I have a middle of the road Internet connection via Cox, I think I will have to pay more for a premium connection. Also, it seems difficult to find channels without using the cable TV connection, but I will continue to learn. I have an antenna and Samsung has some free apps loaded but I don't use most of them.

While picture could be better, no tv mounts as close to the wall. And while price is high, mount is included. Google custom frames and TVDeco (i think is the name) makes it look gorgeous. Software on TV is sadly the weakest part.

The Samsung Frame is a fantastic TV with a ton of great features. Aside from blending into the room seamlessly, the ability to auto-detect and control all of the peripherals and apps with one controller is extremely convenient. The picture is high quality, as one would expect and the ability to choose between Alexa or Google Assistant, and control smart devices makes things that much easier. Since the price for this with black Friday pricing was around $1000, it was a no brainer and definitely worth the value for me. The only challenge/con is the installation which comes with a plate that strongly suggests putting 2 screws in the middle 2 slots and 2 through the various other slots, but the studs on the wall may not be centered so this poses somewhat of an annoyance - in my model, they did not provide the drywall clamps that may be included in other models per the instruction booklet.

Bought a new house and the TV needed to be mounted above the fireplace. We always thought wall mounting a TV above a fireplace wasn’t the most appealing thing to do. They stick out and are the focal point in the room even when off you have a giant black rectangle in the center of your main room. Bought the Frame 2020 55” and couldn’t be happier! It’s art when not watching shows. It’s so dang thin and one cord! Easy to mount and looks like framed art! If you hate big black cr@? on your wall buy this TV! Amazing picture and sound. Room is 14’x16’. 65” would be better but 55” fit the space perfectly.

We didn’t have a good place for a TV in our kitchen until we found this TV. It fits on the wall just like a framed picture. The gallery of pictures are just ok. I love the way it fits on the wall. The installation took is about two hours but we got it done. I would definitely buy this TV again.

Although a little pricey, I really love this TV. The features are pretty awesome. Sits very flat against the wall. The single cable to a box that can be bitten is super cool. I do enjoy the Art mode in our den. I wish the motion detection worked a little better to turn on quicker when entering the room anger going asleep. I also wish it did a better job with lower backlight in various lighting conditions to sell it as a picture. A couple hidden jacks on the tv itself for a soundbar would be nice. That or some wireless sound support of some type.

I recently got the 55” Samsung Frame and am a huge fan. I wanted a late model QLED or OLED TV and decided on the Frame because of the price being less than OLED and the added feature of Samsung Art Store. I’ve navigated through so many works of art I wasn’t familiar with, and having recently moved, it’s given me so many ideas on interior design considering the TV comes with a no gap mount so it literally looks like a painting on the wall. Glad I bit the bullet on this one. 5 stars all day

Although I have done some calibrating I still am not happy with the picture. I have an older Samsung that actually has better picture quality. A work in progress. (Which I really should not have to do based on what I paid).

I absolutely love it! Our Samsung frame tv is great. It is hung above our fireplace so being able to have a painting displayed when it is not in use is great. I loved finding a holiday image to display. It complimented my Christmas decorations.

Beautiful TV and easy to mount (although my dad did the majority of it). Had a tiny issue getting it to connect to Wifi, but we figured it out. If you're like me and don't like when TVs are a focal point, I highly recommend this because it really does look like art!!!

    Remote ruins a great TV

The TV is great and the artwork looks incredible. However, after spending $1500 on a 55” TV, imagine how frustrated we were when the remote was impossible to open rendering the television completely useless. We contacted Samsung’s help desk only to spin our wheels for an hour and being referred to several generic articles on the 3 simple steps to open the battery compartment. My husband was prepared to smash the back of the remote to get it open when I found a few articles about how common this problem was with this particular TV via google. After reading through some of the threads, we essentially melted the seams of the remote with a super hot blow dryer and were then able to get the battery compartment to open. 2 hours of wasted time and burnt fingers aside, the TV looks great and I appreciate that it included the wall mount in the bundle, as opposed to requiring a separate purchase.

Really nice- you don’t need to pay a crap ton of money for the app as you can load your own pictures of paintings and it is powered by a tiny cord ( like IPhone cord size) to the U connect unit which is pictured below so you won’t be plugging in the tv directly behind
