Are external speakers supported? null

I think the only way to connect external speakers is to use the optical audio output jack. I have an optical cable coming from this jack to my surround sound receiver. Most receivers have an input for optical cable. Perhaps you could also use one of the HDMI jacks to a receiver. But no old school RCA plugs to run speaker wires to speakers directly.
