LC1 and LC1 problem:
I read a previous response and then tried it. It WORKED
After reading the manuals and trying various fixes, one response said to 
"tip your washer forward for 2 minutes" and it will clear out your codes. Sure enough it worked.
The errors disappeared and My Samsung flex wash is working now.
To tip the machine forward you have to get behind it. There is no way to "pull it forward".

When I tipped it forward a small puddle of water appeared.at the base.

I thought I was wasting my time trying this because never adds "softener" to her wash.
I thought I would be wasting my time unless I let the machine dry for a few hours after tipping it over. The maching worked immediately after tipping it over. it seems the sensor wasn't just wet, it had been in a puddle of water.

But why did the problem develop if Lyn never uses water softener and used the SAME amount of detergent the 100 times she has used the upper washer.
The problem was probably this: she didn't close the lid tightly!
You might be thinking, "if you don't close the lid tightly, it won't run to begin with. Probably not true.
After 100 washes the lid closing sensor gets fooled.
It senses the lid is closed tight when it actually isn't closed tight, and let's you start the wash.
After the wash starts the lid opens a tiny bit more and produces a pool of water around the 1LC1 and LC1 sensors.

I provided this thorough response as a show of gratitude towards others who have taken the trouble to help, to my benefit.
Being persistent paid off today.

No and for the first year all repairs fall under the manufacturers warranty and then after that if you didn't buy Geek Squad protection you have to pay for the repairs out of pocket. Our washer and dryer were delivered in Jan 2018 and have at least 8 service appointments since it was delivered. Apparently there is a sensor and if it gets wet, the entier washer shuts down. I have spent endless hours on the phone with Best Buy and Samsung, just to shcedule an repair appointment. Additionally the Sales Representative from Best Buy/Pacific Kithen was no longer at Best Buy when the issues started and now his manager is no longer at the store. In terms of the 'Customer Service experience" - first Geek Squad has to come out and assess the situation (expect a 7 day window to get an appt) and then they order the part and then you have to schedule another appt to have the part installed = average turn around time to have the machine working again is ~14 days (imagine doing this 8 separate times). Thus far we have had the interface board replaced, the Main Control Panel, and multiple hoses. BTW - if you call Samsung they can tell you how to get the washer unlocked and you can take your wet clothes out of the washer and then wait days to have an expensive washing machine repaired. The kicker is that after about 48 hours the sensor will dry out and by the time someone comes to repair the machine - the technician will tell you there is nothing wrong. Take a picture of the panel each time it happens so you can show the technician. According to AIG who is the underwriter for Samsung once the washer is no longer covered under the manufacturer's warranty the same part needs to be serviced and repaired 2 times and if the same part fails on the 3rd repair, Samsung will exchange it for a like appliance? A very bad and expensive decsion to purchase this appliance.

Yes! After cleaning filters top and lower, plus draining small hose bottom left in front - didn't clear. 
Poured 32ounces hot water down the five upper and lower washer laundry detergent, bleach, and fabric softener inputs, didn't clear. Unplugged and let sit overnight - didn't clear. Flip circuit breaker, didn't clear. Prayed to patron saint of laundry, didn't clear.;) Secret - Tipped washer forward for 2 minutes - CLEARED upper and lower codes!!! Only use 1-2 tablespoons of HE detergent - very sensitive

My washer would not power off and the LC1 code was appearing on both displays.  Even unplugging didn't reset it.  Read the response below about tipping the machine forward for 2 minutes.  LOL, it worked perfectly.  Left a puddle of water on the floor.

Kind of funny that a drain sensor is causing me issues because this is a replacement for a Samsung washer where the drain pump bracket broke causing the drain line to come loose and flooded my house (no sensor).

Service tech oneThis is a known issue with the main control board which allows the top washer to spin too fast pushing water up through the fabric softener dispenser causing it to leak. It won’t leak when they’re there are no clothes in the unit but when it spins the water gets pushed up into that dispenser and overflows from the wet clothes. There is a replacement control board which fixes the issue

So after having the lc1 issue I've found the problem for me. Certain softer (Downy for me) can gel up and as a result the top washer softer cup was blocked and would over flow when the washer would activate the softer feed. After cleaning the cup out and then opening the back panel of the washer is a sensor that trips when liquid contacts it causing the lc1 error. I used paper towels and soaked up the water/softer till it was dry. Replace panel and plug the washer back in and the error should be gone. When you operate the top washer after its clean don't use softer and do rinse/spin cycle. After about 1 minute the water will flow into the softer cup. The water will come upto the max tab and shouldn't overflow. That's all my issue was for me. Its a give away if you find water coming from under neath the machine

It's a design flaw. The repair person said the water softener compartment will overflow in certain conditions. The replacement part is now out of stock, and I'm waiting for the repair.

Hello All,

samsung has come out with a superceded part for the top washer on the flex washing machine's rinse assembly. i have found that the foam seal they used was sticking to rinse assembly causing it to over fill since it could not drain to the drum. the new rinse assembly has a plastic seal with knotches to prevent it from sticking. i ran multiple cycles and have confirmed the fix. the part number is DC97-20128A. some good videos on youtube https://youtu.be/AGfgRYOHE44 and this one helped the most since you really only need to lift up the flex washer to remove the rinse assembly https://youtu.be/KfaFLjTxvo8  ... the pics below show the plastic upgraded seal. hope this helps solve your problems too

THE SENSORS ARE VERY,VERY SENSITIVE.THERE WAS A LATER BULLETIN THAT ACTAULLY SAID TO MOVE THE SENSORS.
LOOK IN YOURE MANUAL ABOUT RE SETTING THE BOARD, ITS EASY.

I may be late to this party, but need to share what actually worked for me...without tipping the machine on it's side, like others said was the only thing that worked for them.

After having done ALL of the steps others mentioned on the Samsung site, YouTube videos, etc. short of tipping the washer (which I just don't have the physical strength to do) it hit me "work smarter, not harder."

Given that the issue is that water leaked onto the sensors from the top washer, the sensors need to be dried, right? So, after cleaning and drying every part and area that is accessible, I took my hair dryer (on cold setting) and blew out all of the areas that I could access. It still didn't clear. Then, I ran a cycle of "Room Dehumidification" on my Samsung AirDresser and put a fan in front of it for about an hour and it cleared!

When I went to restart the washer, the top lid did not lock and it suddenly occurred to me that the reason the washer leaked causing this error was NOT because I overfilled the cups but because the little plug that is triggered when the washer is locked somehow came out. The washer did lock initially. After I thought more about it, I remember that the top seal was turned in and maybe that's how it "tricked it" into sensing it was closed.

Don't assume the leak was caused by accidentally overfilling the cups, also check to see that your top seal is securely seated in the groove and the little "button" is in place!

Stopped using the top loader that way after the water has dried, the censor will read correctly, for the bottom machine anyway. Not a solution, just a way to wash your clothes.

Yes i had the 1CL1 and the Cl1 error codes come up.  The machine would not turn off after pressing both power buttons.  Believe it or not i tipped the machine forward, just be careful not to tip to far forward the machine is heavy and can fall forward.  After the water drained out, very little water drained out and then the machine worked properly.

I just came to thank EVERYONE with this! The tipping it for 2 minutes worked!!!!!! I spent an hour trying to fix it. Cleaned it used hot water and everything. I couldn’t sleep with the beeping. Then I came on here after YouTube was no help, and you washer angels saved the day! My 13 year old son was washing a 2 of his favorite Nike shirts and apparently they can’t be washed with other clothes. So I am guessing he used too much soap.

But just want to thank who ever figured this out. These are too expensive to have such a dumb issue. With an even dumber way to fix it. But hey, it worked.

(Long post, just tip the washer forward a little for 2 minutes to fix it) :)

Working on my Samsung right now.  Both top and bottom washers have the error codes 1LC1 and LC1.  I have checked everything and cant seem to get the codes to go away.
- The dispensers are all clean
- We only use vinegar in the rinse compartment
- Drain hose looks good
- Removed a coin from the bottom left drain compartment filter
- Turned the power off for an extended period of time
- Turned on a dehumidifier to see if that helps dry the sensors I cant get to

Since it is under warranty, I'am not going to start taking things apart.

It is NOT the softener because I never use softener (only sheets with the dryer) and literally drop 1 detergent pack directly in with the clothes and always get this error.

We’ve had the same code Samsung came said it was clogged flushed it out for four hours he left we then we tried another load and the same thing happened so I did what I read  online the suggestion was  to tip the washing machine forward for two minutes to drain the water out and it will clear up and sure enough it did

This is so annoying.  First time, the board was replaced but of course now out of warranty (and I stopped using fabric softener which is not a big deal for me).  Luckily drying it out does work (1-2 days!).  Had this re-occur because another Samsung issue (upper washer inner door sensor because some insert fell out) I had to add a foam insert to make sure the inner door button is pressed.  But that stopped working after a few months, so added another one (2 layers vs 1).  Unfortunately, this did leave the seal open a bit so during upper washer spins, water came out causing LC1 again.  Waited about 18 hours for the LC1 signal to clear.  So now, I add one of tiny fabric softener pebbles under the one foam (so it can be crushed) and that seems to work (for now) and still keeps the inner door seal intact.

Disconnect the water, pwr, and drain. Lay the washer on its side, remove the sensor on the bottom of the washer that is under the fabric softener and discard it. Stand the washer back up, hook all the lines up and wash clothes, your washer is fixed no 1LC1 error.
