• Hi there, I can answer this for you. Since you installed the product in a kitchen island, you must maintain a minimum 2-1/2" from cutout to back edge of the countertop and minimum 3" from cutout to side edges of the countertop. You can use an optional rear filler kit which is used to fill gap between the range back and wall. Adds a filler strip to the rear of the range. This kit can only be used when the opening in the countertop is 25" deep. Thank you for choosing Samsung. ^Brad
