“The range that I have now has an issue that the burners are always extreamley hot, even when I turn them down to the minimum setting causing a lot of scorched and burnt food. If I choose this model, are the burners able to work at low and high temps?”

This is an amazing product. From Low to high, You have the option to control the temp of your food from beginning to end. Also, if you have a smart phone, you can see keep watch on your favorite meals. I love mines and i can assure you, that you will love yours aswell.
