• Had to go to the oven to check. But the oven door is resistant. When opened the door stays in position. No slamming.

• The door is quite solid and so it does/can close with some force if you just push it up. It does stop at certain levels though so I don't think it would fly all the way up.

• This oven does not have a "soft close" feature like many new cabinet doors and drawers. I've had no trouble with it, but also have kept a firm grip on the handle when opening and closing the door.
