Hi maybebuyer, We appreciate your question about the oven vents of the range. The oven vent is located above the right rear surface unit. This area could become hot during oven use. Never block this vent or place plastic or heat-sensitive items on it. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Employee at Lowe’s told me that was a vent to suck in smoke from your cooking like an overhead vent. That’s not the case. But that’s what they should’ve done with it. Would’ve been a really good idea.
