I had no issues connecting the dvr to the mini box. I had trouble with the hdmi (stereo) to box (arc)...not a great connection but finally got it working. Now it's great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It took me a while to figure this out. You do understand that not everything you play will be dts_hd?if you do understand that then I have a suggestion. Connect to receiver, make sure your settings on all devices are set to hdmi control and your audio settings are set up pcm.... last thing look up your receiver manual to ensure you set up arc correctly. It really isn't just plug and play.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I run everything through my receiver, only 1 cable to mini connect; HDMI 4 HDMI/ARC From Marantz SR 6008 4k receiver. TIP: Remember many HDMI Cables are directional now days, be sure to verify signal path.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have AV surround sound receiver. I have three connections into the smart connect box - one connect from box to TV, HDMI 1 input from AV, and optical from AV. The optical cable from box to AV is needed in order to receive audio through surround sound when watching WI-Fi video. My Bluetooth DVD connects directly to the AV receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think if you want to generate a favorite channel list on the tv and use its remote, you have to connect the cable box directly to the tv via the mini box. The tv should allow you to pass audio out to your receiver. I would connect everything else to your receiver and run the hdmi via an arc line to the tv's mini box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would recommend all devices into the a/v receiver first. However this is only if the receiver has pass through for the video. Often the video processing is of lesser quality than the tv.
