A very good question, and it basically comes down to one BIG feature. The MultiZone Full Array Back Lighting. The 9000 uses a typical edge-lit back light. That means the lights that give the screen its brightness come from the edge of the TV. This is a common, and good way to light the screen, but it can also suffer from bleeding effects. You might get bright corners! The MultiZone Full Array Back Lighting that is in the 9500 series has basically 150 lights BEHIND the screen itself (not on along the edges) and for dark scenes those lights can turn off and make the picture really pop with color. They also allow the screen to get much brighter, just like the sales associate said. It might not make sense to spend an extra $1000+ for this feature alone, but I can tell you from experience the visual difference is mind blowing. Save your money if you're not big into watching movies, but if you're a movie and video game buff like myself its a must-have feature! Go back into BB and ask to see the difference with the MultiZone Full Array Back Lighting and Edge lighting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Full Array back lighting on theUN65JS9500 and edge lit backlighting on theUN65JS9000. It is tough to see the difference in the showroom. I spent the extra $1000.00 for theUN65JS9500 because full array back lighting has many advantages, avoiding the edge lit light bleed issue is only one. Check out the review of the UN65JS9500FXZA at Sound & Vision Magazine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Honestly, I never thought you could tell the difference. I did spend the money, but was very hesitant about it because I'm very practical and rational. I thought it was a lot of money 14. As I was doing the research and going to look Adam there is a difference. But truly if I had to do it over I don't think I would spend the extra 1500. It's nice but either way if you're upgrading you will be completely satisfied with either one. Both TVs are a great product. And you're not losing out on very muchThe way the differences with that television to this as one has the weight coming from the sides and the other one has it coming from behind, it's not a huge difference
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 9000 is by FAR the best deal - only the sound system speakers in the 9500 and pop-up Camera (you can attach an economical Skype camera and buy a great sound bar with wireless sub-woofer (on sale right now with 9000 model for $1,500.00, right. THE CURVED SCREENS AND PICTURE QUALITY ARE IDENTICAL!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Please save your money, see my review. I like Samsung to, and just because of that one bad experience of mine it does not mean there all like that. I just purchased 55" Samsung JU7100. And the 9000 you're interested in, for the price is too expensive. I know you may be not care about the video, camera, etc. But for the price, it is to expensive and the picture quality it is not what people think. You might want to consider the Samsung JU7500 and it is better than the 9000 in my opinion. See them both, research it, but don't fall for it. Also get the extended Warranty and do it through SQUARE TRADE, both of my Samsung that I just got for my parents I warranty them with Square Trade and it has been great. I could tell you so much more, I know the 9000 series, and its not with the greatest picture quality, and I know people with it that are filled with regret for purchasing it. Look at the 7100 or 7500 for much better TV, lesser price, better picture quality, and no regrets. I hope this helps!
