Are you using a cable connection (coax) for your TV signal? If you do, your TV stream will always be on. Using the AnyConnect/Smart HDMI signals sent between devices, the TV will auto-switch sources based on powering on the Blu-Ray player. Not sure if this is answering your questions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an HDMI between my Samsung bluray player and an optical audio cable between the TV and a video sound bar, and a red/white rca between the TV and FM headphones. Everything works pretty seemlessly. I am amazed by how well all the components work together. If I'm watching TV and decide to watch a disc, I just turn on the player and the TV switches to that HDMI port. When you finish and turn off the player it goes back to the cable box HDMI port. If the TV is off and you put in a disc, the TV automatically turns itself on and switches to that HDMI port. Pretty cool actually.
