• I have my sound going to my Onkyo receiver through HDMI. It also goes to Surround Sound, but you don't get true surround sound until the broadcast is using it, and most TV broadcasts don't. The broadcast in stereo, sometimes. However, DVDs do have surround sound and I get surround sound when playing them.
