A:AnswerIt upconverts everything to a 4K image and from someone who used to own a blu-ray player you really won’t notice much of a difference unless you are one that pays really close attention to detail. The blacks will look a lot better and shadows are more detailed.

I can tell you that based on my experience with this tv that 1080P content upscales very well, and 720P not quite as well. This is based on my viewing of OTA broadcasts. A:AnswerDirectv Now is an application. It is not built into this tv and is not available to install internally on this tv. You will need an external streaming device with the Directv Now app installed on that device to stream Directv Now on this tv. Same goes for Playstation Vue (which I use and like very much) and many other apps. This tv is capable of displaying the content of many apps, but only through the use of the external streaming players. Check the list of apps that are internal to the tv and consider an external streaming device for those apps not supported by the tv itself.
