I chose the Sonos soundbar and purchased the mounting kit designed to go with it. I mounted it about 5 inches under the TV and ran all the wires inside the wall. I chose a black frame for the TV so I went with the black Sonos but, it also comes in white. The sound is better with a sound bar but not bad without. You can always add more speakers etc. to the Sonos system which is a plus for me.
