Not sure about amount of heat of your existing model, but my 900TS which is on quite a lot when I am home does put off a good amount of heat, primarily around the ports/processing area on the right side. This is not an issue for me now since I have it set up on its stand in a well ventilated area. I also have an OLED TV in my bedroom that puts off heat. My guess is that most, if not all, larger smart 4K+ TVs put off a good amount of heat because of the necessary processing required. Only time will tell for me if the heat will shorten my TVs life. I did get the 5 year protection package with mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The area where the HDMI and other inputs to the TV reside do give off a decent amount of heat. I would say the equivalent to a hot stovetop that is cooling down.
