Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. A strong odor is normal for the first few cycles. It's just dust from the factory that has settled in the machine. But after a few uses it goes away. That also happens with stoves and ovens.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My dryer did same thing so I ran a 15 minute timed cycle using old rags and it was gone when it was completed. If it continues I would check the lint trap and see if dirt/ lint fell outside the trap.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When the men delivered my machine, they told me to run it empty for 20 - 30 minutes. I did. I had a slight smell, but not bad, and I still smell it some a week later. It has not made my clothes smell though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm sorry to hear your DV400EWHDWR dryer has an odor. It's hard to tell what might be causing it without knowing what it smells like. To clean the powder coated drum, use a damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner suitable for surfaces. Remove the cleaner residue and dry with a clean cloth. Leaving the door open to circulate fresh air, or running a cycle with a scented dryer sheet or dryer and garment-safe deodorizer spray may help, as well. - Ms. Samsung
