- Answer Samsung gas dryers, including the DV456GWHDSU, can be vented three ways - through the back (factory default), bottom or the left side (facing dryer). It cannot be vented out the right side because of the location of the gas valve. Thank you for the question, Ms. Samsung

QuestionModel Number Question?I purchased this dryer and it has a different model number. I can't even register it at the Samsung website. Any info about this? The model number on my dryer is DV456GTHDSU/AA

- Answer Thanks for the question. The correct model code for this dryer should be DV456GWHDSU/AA. There is a similar model with upgraded features and the code DV476GTHASU/AA, but there is currently no DV456GTHDSU/AA. If this is what's printed on your dryer, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you in registering the dryer under the appropriate code. Please be sure to have the dryer's serial number handy when you call. - Ms. Samsung
