A:Answer Energy Star does not currently have a system for rating the efficiency of dryers, though they may reevaluate the need for such a program in the future. However, it's worth noting that the high spin speeds available on Samsung washing machines, along with the Sensor Dry options on the dryers themselves, do help to reduce the amount of energy used to dry your laundry.
In addition, another Samsung dryer, the DV457 (/A1 versions), recently received Energy Star's prestigious Emerging Technology Award in recognition of its energy efficiency through new, innovative technology.
