“this dryer is listed as 120v not the standard 220v is this correct and why?”

• If it has a 120 volt electric cord it is a gas dryer(120v operates the drum and control panel) all "electric dryer use 220volt and split it down to 110 inside unit for drum and control panel.

• Yep this is correct per the manual on Samsung's website. I guess a lot of Samsung units use 120v.
