Comforters and quilts will fit but you will have to keep removing them and folding them so the outside areas get dry in turns. Eventually, the entire piece will get dry but it's best to spread them out on a bed or over a railing for a few days to make sure before you pack them up for the season.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will have to play a game of removing it several times and refolding it so the wet parts are on the outside. I have 3 king size quilts from Pier 1--thick and heavy. It takes about 3 hours to dry each one this way. I use a low cycle to protect the outside areas that get dry first. You'll discover ways of loading the quilt in an accordian style as most of it dries. And it's best to spread the comforter/quilt on a bed for a day or so, flipping, to make sure it's completely dry before packing it a way for the season. Either way, better than a laundrymat or dry cleaner that will use chemicals to clean them.
