Greetings! We appreciate the interest in this Samsung refrigerator model and whether it can be installed outside on an exposed deck. We recommend having this Samsung refrigerator model installed indoors. Damage, as well as malfunction of the refrigerator, may happen if installed in a humid, oily, dusty location, in a location exposed to direct sunlight and water (rain drops). Leo
