“Is there a way to get this tv to operate through the stereo receiver without having to go through the tv”

• I use a stereo receiver with this TV but connect through the TV using the optical out port from the TV one connect box. My stereo receiver doesn't have optical in but there is an inexpensive converter that you takes the optical out signal and allows you to connect to the analog stereo in jacks in the receiver. Works fine.
