• It's about 3 1/2 inches thick. By the weight of it when we mounted it, there is ABSOLUTELY no way someone could just walk by and blow it over. So....no, it doesn't have to be wall mounted.

• The TV is about 1.5 - 2.0 inches thick. Being that it is a 75", it does have some weight. Therefore we mounting, please get some help. You will need a good Heavy duty wall mount.
