YES, THE ARC CONNECTION CAN BE USED FOR ANY SPEAKER DEVICE THAT ALLOWS 2-WAY COMMUNIICATIONS.

You can either connect the cable box to the TV and utilize ARC technology to send the audio to the soundbar, or, connect the cable box to one of the soundbars HDMI inputs, and utilize the HDMI output on the soundbar to send the video and audio to the TV. ^Tim
