How is Q80 Series better than Q70 Series ? null

Im switching out a 2018 q6fn 75 inch model for a new one because ive got clouding, hazy areas all over dark sections of any film or tv show. Are the new models better, I was lucky I had a 5 year warranty, through best buy. Was this due to edge lighting? or as I have heard it happens on alot of tvs do they all suffer from this? Can you recommend something I could switch to? thanks Neil

The Samsung Q80R is better than the Samsung Q70R. The Samsung Q80R can handle reflections slightly better and has a wider viewing angle thanks to the 'Ultra Viewing Angle' layer. Its local dimming is better than the Q70R and significantly helps improve dark room performance. The Samsung Q70R, on the other hand, has a higher native contrast ratio and can deliver deeper and more uniform blacks, even though its local dimming isn't as effective.

Viewing angles, color contrast and glare are much better especially in a bright room.

The clarity is better. I need glasses to read and do up-close work, but I had no trouble seeing a slight difference in clarity without my glasses. If the extra few hundred dollars is a deal-breaker, go with the Q70 - it's still really good.

The brightness is superior. I live in a condo with lots of room light. The 80 is amazing!
