I'm sure you found it already, but it faces down to the right of the ports that face sideways, and is extremely hard to see. It took me over 10 minutes and a lot of colorful vocabulary to get it plugged in. The remote will not control the volume of an optical device UNLESS you make your remote universal in the settings. It took me 2 hours to figure that out and tons of stuff online is wrong and says you can't do it. YES you can.

Its a very small square shaped area, and admittedly is hard to find, but its there. Once you locate it , simply take your optical cable and gently press the plug into the hole and *Twist* while pushing in gently, and it will eventually snap right in.
