Yes, the 82 inch Q8 Samsung can be wall mounted. Strongly advise using Geekm squad to do this with the proper mounting hardware. Had our new 82 inch for 2 weeks today. Be aware: These sets MUST be calibrated after 100 hours. Watched a dvd last night via a new Sony 4k player bought and installed by Geek squad last October. The dark scenes are unwatchable. Reds take on a “shiny” glare, almost reflective —- face tones bevome mottled and “glowish” Blues blend directly into blacks/shadows and are indistinguishable. And...it isn’t the 4k player. Worked just perfectly w prior TV.

Absolutely it can be mounted on the wall and you have choices to pivot or pull away from the wall to add devices or cleaning purposes.
